25 Oct bangs shoes
one of my main reasons for beginning this blog is to use it as a platform to raise awareness and create content for brands that I believe in. I believe that the individual choices are creating the world we are going to live in and supporting brands who care about how their products are made and how the people producing them are treated is one way that we choose to support a greener future.
if you guys haven’t heard of them, or seen their adventure photography on instagram, BANGS is shoe brand that goes above and beyond selling shoes. their company’s mission is to increase awareness about environmental issues and social concerns. their shoes are made with sustainably sourced materials and are made by factory workers who are fairly paid for their time; they even donate 20% of their net profits to helping entrepreneurs all over the world.
I love the story of how the company’s founder, hannah, found her inspiration for the shoe design through her travels. I always find that travel and the exposure to different cultures sparks new ideas and gives me a new perspective. while traveling in china hannah started to notice the practical comfortable design of shoes worn by farm workers. she took a traditional design, and turned it into something contemporary, while maintaining it’s practical value. I chose the london fog design as they go well with all of my clothing and I embroidered cactus on the side. the embroidery adds such a unique touch to BANG’s designs, and while they maintain a classic sneaker aesthetic they are also recognizable, unique and perfect for your next adventure.
